Outstanding Film And Television Performances Honored at the 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards®
Tonight, the Screen Actors Guild Awards® presented its coveted Actor® statuettes for the outstanding motion picture and television performances of the past year at the 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. The ceremony, hosted by Kristen Bell, was produced by Silent House Productions in partnership with SAG-AFTRA and streamed live globally on Netflix. The 31st Annual SAG Awards will be available to stream on Netflix for 28 days after the show.
TIMOTHÉE CHALAMET, DEMI MOORE, KIERAN CULKIN and ZOE SALDAÑA were honored with individual awards for performances in motion pictures, and COLIN FARRELL, JESSICA GUNNING, HIROYUKI SANADA, ANNA SAWAI, MARTIN SHORT and JEAN SMART were honored for performances in television. The Actor® for a motion picture cast performance went to CONCLAVE and the Actors® for television drama and comedy ensemble performances went to SHŌGUN and ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING. The Screen Actors Guild Awards originated awards for motion picture cast and ensembles in drama and comedy television series.
Legendary actress and activist Jane Fonda was honored with the SAG Life Achievement Award for career achievements and humanitarian accomplishments. The award was presented to her by Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Earlier in the day, the honorees for outstanding action performances were revealed during the 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards Official Pre-Show by SAG Awards Ambassadors Sofia Carson and Noah Centineo. The stunt ensemble from THE FALL GUY was honored for motion picture and the stunt ensemble from SHÅŒGUN was honored for television.
Nominees – voted by their respective film and television nominating committees – were announced on Jan. 8, 2025. The two nominating panels —were each composed of 2,500 randomly selected SAG-AFTRA members from across the United States. Final voting opened to 118,000+ SAG-AFTRA members in good standing on Jan. 15 and balloting closed on Feb. 21. Integrity Voting Systems, the Awards’ official election firm, sealed the results until they were announced live during the 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
