Nashville Rep’s annual fundraiser, Broadway Brunch, will take place on August 22, 2021 at City Winery, marking the fundraiser’s 6th year. Broadway Brunch, presented by Amazon and Nashville Law Offices, is Nashville Repertory Theatre’s biggest fundraising event. This year’s event will be chaired by Julie Schneider and Tracy Wade. “Julie and I are excited to be a part of Nashville Repertory Theatre’s return to live performance,” says Tracy Wade, Co-Chair of this year’s Broadway Brunch. “Broadway Brunch is a terrific event where hundreds of art lovers in the Nashville community gather to celebrate the magic of theatre and the local artists who make it happen. After the year we’ve had, it’ll just be all the more extraordinary. Julie and I look forward to seeing friends, old and new, live and in-person on August 22nd at the City Winery.”
The event features brunch, cocktails, both a live and silent auction, and musical performances from Nashville’s theatrical talent. This year’s Honorary Chair of Broadway Brunch will be the Nashville-based country music singer, songwriter, actress and television personality Kellie Pickler. No stranger to entertainment, Pickler has appeared on American Idol, won season 16 of Dancing With the Stars, starred in Hallmark movies, and co-hosted the daytime television show Pickler & Ben, earning her an Emmy nomination.
Vicki Horne, past Board President of Nashville Rep and co-founder of Broadway Brunch, will receive the theatre’s Ovation Award, which recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to Nashville Repertory Theatre and the Nashville arts community at large. Vicki served on Nashville Repertory Theatre’s board from 2009 until 2016 and was President from 2014-2016. Under her leadership, the Rep became Nashville Repertory Theatre and instituted the very event at which she will be recognized.
Those interested in attending the brunch can purchase tickets for $200. Tables seat up to 10 people. This year, the Rep has added Patron tickets at the $500 (Director), $1,000 (Investor) and $5,000 (Producer) levels that will include an elegant Patron Party at the home of Co-Chair Julie Schneider on Thursday, August 19.
