Hall Strategies , a public relations and government relations agency based in Nashville and established in 2004, shared today that Ann Marie Anderson and Nancy Floyd are now partners at the firm.

Anderson became part of Hall Strategies in 2021 after working as communications director for Tennessee First Lady Maria Lee. Floyd joined the team in 2022, having previously served as editor-in-chief of Nfocus Magazine and contributing as a writer for Nashville Scene .

Anderson and Floyd join current partners Joe Hall , Abby Trotter , and Justin H. Wilson . Hall founded the firm in 2004 and was soon joined by Trotter. Wilson came aboard in 2016 and became a partner in 2020.

Anderson specializes in statewide media and regional communications. She has led and managed comprehensive public relations campaigns for clients in sectors such as economic development, hospitality, environmental services, health care, and innovation.

Ann Marie Anderson

Before joining Hall Strategies, Anderson was the communications director for Tennessee First Lady Maria Lee. She also worked as deputy press secretary for former U.S. Senator Bob Corker in Washington, D.C., and later as a major donor consultant for Kaegi Resources, a local fundraising and event management firm. Anderson participated in two gubernatorial inaugural planning committees (2019 and 2023), and helped raise over $6 million for inaugural events as part of a six-member fundraising team.

At Hall Strategies, Anderson assists national and international businesses with significant operations in Tennessee. She specializes in rapid response and campaign-style communications for clients who need strategic successes in public and government relations.

Her broad public relations experience includes leading a natural resources campaign that attracted federal, state, and local backing for a multi-state pipeline project, as well as directing media efforts for TC Restaurant Group, which operates major venues in downtown Nashville. She managed media for grand openings such as Morgan Wallen’s This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen and Posty’s, the latter featuring Post Malone’s performance for a record-setting crowd of 30,000.

Originally from Cookeville, Anderson graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Nancy Floyd

Floyd spent over 15 years as a journalist, writer, and editor before joining Hall Strategies. She was editor-in-chief of Nfocus Magazine for 10 years, and served as a writer and editor for Nashville Scene and Nashville Post for a decade. She also contributed travel pieces to Taste of the South Magazine .

Floyd’s work in culinary and hospitality includes collaborations with Fox Restaurant Concepts (The Twelve Thirty Club, Pushing Daisies, The Henry, Flower Child, Culinary Dropout, Doughbird) and Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Nashville, including its signature restaurants Bacco and Rivière Rooftop. She has also managed major events and initiatives for nonprofits such as Centennial Park Conservancy, Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Nashville Symphony, Southern Festival of Books, and Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage.

With deep event management experience, Floyd leads logistics for many corporate and nonprofit events, including grand openings, ribbon cuttings, black-tie galas, and citywide festivals. In 2022, she directed the opening strategy for Four Seasons Hotel Nashville, Music City’s first international five-star hotel, earning several PRSA Parthenon Awards.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Floyd is a Belmont University graduate.
