One of my all time favorite cocktails! Joan Collins’ Alexis Carrington ordered one at the St. Dennis Club on Dynasty in a chic wide-brimmed hat and I was immediately curious! Some years later Elle Magazine proclaimed the Kir Royale to be the new Cosmo, the clever cocktail made famous by Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte on Sex & the City. The Kir Royale never did eclipse the Cosmo but it didn’t have to, it has always been a fabulous cocktail.
Ingredients
- 1oz. Crème de Cassis
- 4 oz. Champagne
- Raspberries, for garnish
Instructions
- Pour crème de cassis into a chilled champagne flute.
- Top it off with champagne.
- Garnish with a raspberry.
