We are heartbroken to announce that Lesly Somerville Simon, age 52, passed away March 27, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Lesly fought gallantly for seven years, demonstrating remarkable strength, faith and resilience, inspiring all who knew her. Her radiant smile, infectious laugh, and unwavering optimism touched countless lives. Her journey through life was marked by her deep love for family, friends, and her commitment to helping others. Her warmth and generosity made her a cherished friend, and she left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Throughout her journey, Lesly remained steadfast in her belief that faith, love and gratitude were life’s most important guiding forces. She embraced each day with grace, hope and determination, never allowing her diagnosis to define her spirit or limit her joy for living. Her battle was one of quiet strength, extraordinary courage, and unwavering resolve. Lesly was honored as a 2022 Hope Gala Honoree by the American Cancer Society for her inspirational journey and contributions to cancer awareness. She leaves behind a powerful legacy of hope, resilience, and the importance of cherishing each moment.

Lesly was born on May 19, 1972, in Montgomery, Alabama. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Lesly spent over twenty years in the music business playing an integral role in the careers of several artists. In Nashville. Simon launched her career in music business  at RCA Label Group. She expanded to artist management, promotion and marketing roles at pop and country labels. At Capitol Records, she contributed to the success of Coldplay, the Beastie Boys, Kylie Minogue, Jane’s Addiction and Snoop Dogg. She held the role of vice president of promotion at Arista Nashville, there she oversaw campaigns for Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Cam and several others. She served as general manager of Garth Brooks‘ Pearl Records for seven years and served as general manager at Gwendolyn Records, the record label founded by Brooks’ wife, Trisha Yearwood. She was a member of SOURCE, the Country Music Association (CMA), the Academy of Country Music (ACM) and the Leadership Music Class of 2013 and served on the Board of Directors for Country Radio Broadcasters. She was named to Billboard‘s Country Power Players list in 2018. Over the last several years, Lesly pursued her passion for design and real estate in the place she loved the most, Alys Beach. In 2020, Simon partnered with friend and interior designer Tyler Colgan to launch the Florida-based interior design firm Colgan Simon. She simultaneously started Corcoran Reverie, the residential real estate division of the company, which specialized in luxury residential properties along Florida’s Gulf Coast and Highway 30A. In 2023, with both businesses having greatly expanded, she transitioned into her partnership role, leading both divisions alongside Colgan.

Lesly is survived by her devoted husband, Robert; step-children Max and Miller Simon; mother Cindy Adams Somerville; brother Taylor Somerville (Caroline); sisters Cindy Gallion (Thomas) and Amy Landers (William Hansen); mother-in-law Marcia Unger; sister-in-law Carrie Pizitz (Richard) and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Taylor Somerville Jr.

A service celebrating Lesly’s beautiful life will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church in Mountain Brook, Alabama at 2:30 p.m., with visitation in Graham Hall immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial gifts be sent to the American Cancer Society or Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge in honor of Lesly Simon, whose courage continues to inspire hope in others.
