Beloved Broadway Musical Opens Nashville Rep’s 2025–26 Season
Nashville Repertory Theatre is thrilled to open its highly anticipated 2025–26 season with the Tony Award–winning phenomenon Come From Away, the beloved musical that has moved audiences around the world.
This extraordinary production will run from Friday, September 12 – Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the James K. Polk Theater within the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC).
Come from Away tells the inspiring true story of how a small Newfoundland town welcomed 7,000 stranded passengers following the September 11 attacks. The musical focuses on the townspeople of Gander, who, in a moment of global tragedy, opened their hearts and homes to these “come from aways,” forging unexpected connections and demonstrating remarkable generosity and compassion.
“Kicking off our 41st season with Come From Away is incredibly exciting,” said Amos Glass, Interim Executive Director of Nashville Repertory Theatre. “This production captures the resilience and compassion of the human spirit in a way that deeply resonates with so many. We’re eager to share its powerful story with Nashville and to set the tone for an unforgettable season ahead.”
This production features the cast of Annika Burley, James Crawford, Travis Darghali, Ben Teal Davis, Tyler Evick, Jennifer Jackson, James Rudolph II, Brenda Sparks, Melissa Steadman, Carrie Tillis, Jordan Tudor, Garris Wimmer, and swings Carrie Brewer and Dustin Davis.
The show is directed by Leah Lowe, with music direction by Sarah Michele Bailey and choreography by Joi Ware. The production team includes Scenic Design by Gary C. Hoff, Costume Design by Melissa K. Durman, Lighting Design by Dalton Hamilton, Sound Design by Mark Zuckerman, and Stage Management by Zach Jenkins.
