Nashville Soccer Club will wrap up its three-match homestand this weekend at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at GEODIS Park in a nationally televised match against an LA Galaxy side led by Mexican international Javier “Chicharito” Hernández. The Boys in Gold enter the weekend in sensational form, winning a club record four consecutive matches, outscoring opponents 14-1, and tying its club record for wins in a season with 12.

Landon Donovan MLS MVP frontrunner Hany Mukhtar is coming off a herculean stretch of play, earning MLS Player of the Month honors for the month of August and back-to-back MLS Player of the Week awards. Mukhtar recorded 12 goal contributions in the month of August (seven goals and five assists), becoming the fourth player in league history to reach that total in a calendar month. Mukhtar’s seven goals in August were the most of any player.

The German is the Golden Boot leader with 21 goals, a new club record, and has reached 32 goal contributions this season (21 goals and 11 assists) which is the most in MLS. Mukhtar has scored multiple goals in a match six times this season, which is more than any other MLS player

Fans with tickets in the GEODIS WeHo Club will have access to a private performance leading up to kickoff by Chilean singer songwriter with a Latin-influenced pop and RnB sound, Catalina. Stephanie Urbina Jones and her history-making Honky Tonk Mariachi, whose sound is referred to as country music with chili peppers, will put on a show on the Main Stage at halftime.

Following the entrance of both teams on the pitch, classic country rock artist who imbues sounds of Mexico, Stephanie Urbina Jones will perform the National Anthem, and as the Boys in Gold take the pitch, musician and guitarist Antonio Salazar will perform the pre-match guitar riff on the official Delgado Guitar created by Manuel Delgado from remnants of GEODIS Park materials during its construction. The guitar is also featured in the GEODIS WeHo Club on matchdays.

At the conclusion of the match on Saturday, Head Coach Gary Smith and players will be available to the media via Zoom. In the meantime, follow Nashville SC on the club’s websiteInstagramFacebook, and Twitter.
