Nashville Soccer Club today announced it will host its official Hispanic Heritage Night at GEODIS Park on Saturday, Sept. 10, as the Boys in Gold take on the LA Galaxy at 2:30 p.m. CT. The event will highlight local Hispanic communities and raise funds in support of the Tennessee Latin American Chamber of Commerce (TLACC).

“We are proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and recognize the many professional, civic and cultural contributions the Hispanic community has brought to our city,” said Nashville SC Head of Community Engagement Brandon Hill. “Our prosperity as a club and a city is tied to the success of all communities, and we are excited to use this opportunity to support our local Hispanic and Latino neighbors.”

Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, and during Hispanic Heritage Night on Sept. 10, Nashville SC will participate in the following activations:

Hispanic Heritage Month Patch 2022: Nashville SC will release a special edition Hispanic Heritage Month patch that fans and supporters may purchase at the official NSC Team Store or online at www.NashvilleSCMobileShop.com. Section 615: Nashville SC’s special Section 615 will host guests from Conexión Américas, an organization founded in 2002 to address the pressing challenges and opportunities created by demographic changes in Middle Tennessee as an increasing number of Latino families moved to the state. The guests will be recognized on the pitch during the pre-match broadcast.

Hero of the Match: Nashville SC will recognize Renata Soto, the founder and president of Mosaic Changemakers and former leader of Conexión Américas, as the Hero of the Match. Mosaic Changemakers aims to strengthen the individual and collective power of people of color in the American South.

Antonio will riff on the official Delgado Guitar created by Manuel Delgado from remnants of GEODIS Park materials pulled during construction of the stadium.

Young Latino Writers Essay Contest & Mural Unveiling: Nashville SC is partnering with Conexión Américas in inviting Middle Tennessee high school students to participate in the Young Latino Writers Essay Contest.
