Nashville Soccer Club enters a two-match week in which it will visit the Portland Timbers at 9:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Aug. 3, before returning to GEODIS Park on Saturday, August 6th to host Toronto FC.

Nashville SC is coming off a 1-1 draw against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, marking the 36^th out of 40 matches the Boys in Gold have earned a result at home. Teal Bunbury scored in his second consecutive start for Nashville SC following an injury that had him sidelined for 16 weeks. Bunbury’s goal tied a club record of eight consecutive MLS matches in which the Boys in Gold have found the back of the net.

Hany Mukhtar has continued his MVP campaign in 2022 accounting for 18 of Nashville SC’s 29 goals this season. Mukhtar has recorded a goal or an assist in six consecutive matches and leads all MLS players with 46 goal contributions (28 goals, 18 assists) since 2021.

Wednesday will mark the second and final meeting this season between Nashville SC and the Portland Timbers following a 2-2 draw at GEODIS Park on July 3. The last and only time Nashville SC visited the Rose City was in March of 2020, days before MLS paused the season due to COVID-19.
