Earlier today, Head Coach Gary Smith spoke about the preparations this week, the importance of earning a result on Sunday against FC Dallas and the quality of opponent FCD is.
Nashville SC midfielder AnÃbal Godoy also previewed the match against Dallas and his return to the pitch. Godoy appeared in his 160th career MLS match this past Sunday, his first appearance since June 19 due to injury.
The Boys in Gold are facing a pivotal point in the schedule with all of their remaining MLS matches featuring Western Conference teams. Three of the next five matches are also against teams either tied or within a point in the table.
Nashville SC has now scored in 11 consecutive matches dating back to June 19, a club record. MVP candidate Hany Mukhtar has registered eight goals and three assists in his last nine matches.
Fans can arrive to GEODIS Park early to enjoy the pre-match entertainment beginning with the Opening Act in the North Plaza at 5 p.m. CT. Texas Hill, a bold, harmonic trio of country, bluegrass and soul singers will be performing.
Additionally, Gabe Broussard and Rebecca Brunner will give pop-up acoustic performances outside Gates C and F, respectively. Fans with tickets in the GEODIS WeHo Club will also have access to a private performance leading up to kick off by Temecula Road, a Warner Music Nashville duo with signature harmonies backed by acoustic guitar and mandolin.
Following the entrance of both teams on the pitch, American country music singer songwriter and student at Middle Tennessee State University Michael Mullins will perform the National Anthem, and as the Boys in Gold take the pitch, current music director and band leader for Trisha Yearwood and former lead guitarist for Garth Brooks, Johnny Garcia will perform the Guitar Riff.
