The Nashville Symphony’s July 2024 schedule features the Nashville Symphony Orchestra playing with singer-songwriter Natalie Merchant and live-to-film performances of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone™. The month also features two nights with John Legend; acclaimed chamber orchestra Sphinx Virtuosi; a Neil Diamond tribute concert; an innovative sound healing experience, and two silent movies accompanied by a live organist.

Accompanied by the breathtaking, seatshaking sounds of the Schermerhorn’s Martin Foundation Concert Organ performed by Peter Krasinski. This doublefeature is anchored by the 1928 classic, The Cameraman. A hopelessly in love, clumsy man takes work as a motionpicture cameraman at MGM Studios in attempt to be close to the woman he desires. Also featuring the 1956 French film, The Red Balloon. Here, a red balloon with a mind of its own follows a little boy around the streets of Paris. Audiences will marvel at the legendary organist Peter Krasinski, who accompanies silent films like none other with his imaginative spirit and technical prowess.
