Nine Perfect Strangers takes place at Tranquillum House, a boutique health and wellness resort that promises healing and transformation to guests trying to get on a path to a better way of living.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the production was moved from the United States to Australia. Fortunately, because of the move, the 1,400 members of the cast and crew were able to keep their job for six months. Filming locations include Byron Bay, Ballina and Sydney in New South Wales , a state on the east coat of Australia distinguished by its coastal cities and national parks. Newly constructed modern wellness retreat Soma, became one of two locations used for Tranquillum House. Lune de Sang, a sustainable timber plantation owned by mining executive turned glass artist Andy Plummer and his wife, Deirdre, became the second.
