Nashville SC continues its run in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup (CCC) Thursday when the Boys in Gold host Inter Miami CF at 8 p.m. CT at GEODIS Park for the opening leg of the clubs’ Round of 16 series. Just over six months ago, the teams met on the same pitch for tournament play in the inaugural Leagues Cup Final. The winner of the two-leg home-away series, which will be decided on aggregate, will advance to the CCC Quarterfinals to meet the winner of the C.F. Monterrey and FC Cincinnati Round of 16 series. Tickets for Thursday’s match are available here.

Here are five things to know for Thursday’s match, airing live at 8 p.m. CT on FS2, TUDN, and Fubo TV:

  1. The Boys in Gold and Inter Miami CF are familiar foes. The squads have faced off four times since May 2023 across all competitions (Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, MLS, Leagues Cup), and 10 times since August 2020. Nashville SC holds a 4W-2L-4D record against its South Florida opponent. Both teams joined MLS as expansion sides for the 2020 season.
  2. Nashville SC played its way to the largest goal differential in all of CCC Round One (7-0) and is one of just three clubs (also FC Cincinnati and New England Revolution) to not concede a goal during the opening round.
  3. Multiple Boys in Gold have made their Nashville SC debuts during the 2024 CCC. Newcomers Forster Ajago, Tyler Boyd, Julian Gaines, Brent Kallman, Amar Sejdić, and Dru Yearwood all logged their first NSC minutes during the team’s Round One match up against Moca FC.
  4. Thursday’s match continues a congested schedule in early 2024 for the Boys in Gold. Across all competitions (CCC and MLS regular season play), Nashville SC’s Round of 16 match against Inter Miami is the club’s fifth fixture in just 15 days. At the conclusion of the Round of 16 next Wednesday, March 13 in Miami, the team will have played seven matches in 21 days to begin its 2024 campaign.
  5. It is a busy week at GEODIS Park. The Boys in Gold will be back at it on the home pitch this Sunday, March 10 for a matinee against the LA Galaxy in MLS play at 2 p.m. CT. The match will celebrate Women’s History Month, and tickets are available here.

Nashville SC joined Major League Soccer on Feb. 29, 2020 in front of the largest attendance ever recorded for a soccer match in the State of Tennessee. Nashville SC returned to the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs in its sophomore season after becoming just the seventh team in MLS history to go unbeaten at home in a season. The Boys in Gold again qualified for the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs in both 2022 and 2023, becoming just the third team in league history to reach the postseason during the team’s first four years in existence.
