This is the Kentucky Maid’s Irish cousin as it substitutes the original’s base spirit, bourbon with Irish whiskey. The perfect St. Patrick’s Day cocktail, the fresh vegetal and floral flavors make this an excellent choice for the spring season beyond the holiday.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Jameson Black Barrel Whiskey
  • .5 oz St. Germain
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • .75 oz simple syrup
  • 3 slices Japanese cucumber, muddled
  • 2 fresh mint leaves and cucumber slice for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a shaker glass, combine whiskey, lime juice, simple syrup and cucumbers and muddle together.
  2. Add ice and shake vigorously.
  3. Finely strain into a rocks glass over a large ice block.
  4. Garnish with fresh cucumber and mint sprig through the middle.
