Pratt hits his second Triple-A homer, while Wilken extends his on-base streak to 27 games

The Nashville Sounds lost their second straight game to the Louisville Bats, 10-8, on Saturday night. Cooper Pratt hit his second Triple-A homer of the season with a two-run shot in the first inning, and Brock Wilken extended his on-base streak to 27 games.

Nashville jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first. Jett Williams opened the game with a walk, and Pratt followed with a two-run homer to left for his second career Triple-A home run. After Luis Lara drew another walk, Jeferson Quero lined a two-out RBI double off the right-field wall to score Lara. Louisville answered with a two-run homer by Hector Rodriguez to cut the lead to 3-2.

The Bats tied the game in the second on three singles, including Garrett Hampson’s first hit of the series. Nashville went back ahead, 6-3, in the fourth. Eddys Leonard doubled for his ninth of the season, and Ramón Rodríguez followed with an RBI single to score him. Williams then drew his second walk of the game, Pratt added an RBI single, and a double steal brought Williams home for the inning’s third run.

Louisville responded with four runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 7-6 lead, scoring on three singles, a double, and two walks against right-hander Carlos Rodriguez. He finished with seven runs allowed on eight hits over 3.1 innings, with three strikeouts. Easton McGee entered with one out in the fourth, but the Bats added another run in the fifth on Edwin Arroyo’s second double of the game to make it 8-6.

The Sounds pulled even again in the sixth. Leonard was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning, Rodríguez singled, and Pratt drew a walk to load the bases. Lara then lined a two-run single to right to tie the game at 8-8. Louisville answered in the bottom half with a solo homer by Rece Hinds off Junior Fernandez, then added another run in the seventh on Arroyo’s fourth hit and third RBI of the night. Nashville put a runner on in the ninth with a Quero single but could not rally.

The Sounds will try to split the series in Sunday’s finale. First pitch is set for 12:05 p.m. CT, with right-hander Garrett Stallings scheduled to start.
