Oscar Night is one of the most glamorous nights of the year. Just as important as the gowns and jewelry is the often overlooked make-up, hairstyles and manicures created by talented artists who are tasked to make sure their clients are picture perfect. We celebrate these looks. We celebrate these artists. We celebrate the best of Oscar beauty!

Amanda Seyfried portrayed starlet Marion Davies in Mank for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. She channeled all of Davies’ 1930’s Hollywood glamour for the red carpet. Make-up artist, Genevieve Herr created a deep red velvet lip with Lancôme’s L’Absolu Rouge Drama Ink. The use of lots of lashes and an intricate side-parted bun made us feel like we have stepped back in time.

Make-up artist, D’Andre Michael created a look that contrasted Angela Bassett’s red gown. Her steel blue smoky eyes were a standout! Hair stylist Randy Stodghill produced her sleek, middle part by using the ghd Platinum+ Styler to straighten her hair. Bassett has had a stellar red carpet season and tonight she was stunning!

Tracy Levy used Armani Beauty to create Reese Witherspoon’s Oscar look. Witherspoon prepped her skin with Biossance products. Levy started with Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation and the Luminous Silk Glow Setting Powder was used as a bronzer sculpting out her cheekbones and jawline. The smoky eye was flawless.

Just when you thought it was safe – the faux hawk is back thanks to Viola Davis. It was the perfect way to complete the overall look. Her hair stylist Jamika Wilson used Matrix’s Total Results High Amplify Flexible Hold Hairspray and Style Link Super Fixer Strong Hold Gel. Wilson did Davis’ hair for the film, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. She and her team were nominated for Best Makeup and Hairstyling for which they won. The mauve lip added a pop of color. Come closer and keep quiet – its rumored to be L’Oréal. The gorgeous lashes were constructed using their Voluminous Original Mascara.

Hairstylist Byron Williams and makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan created looks for Maria Bakalova within a princess theme with a grown-up twist. The real beauty star were her fingernails. In an effort to create something “elegant yet young,” manicurist Betina Goldstein designed this look that combined the classic French manicure with a half-moon design which she calls “French Moonlight.” She used a sheer neutral-pink base with silver glitter over the top in the moon and French design using Doublemoss Arte brushes — which were designed by Goldstein.

The subdued shimmer on Andra Day’s eyes, makeup artist Porsche Cooper achieved by using Chanel Ombre Première Laque in Rayon and the Les 4 Ombres in Code Élégants and Warm Memories. A rosy hued lip, Rouge Coco Bloom in DREAM,  completes the looks. Luckily Cooper gives us a complete list of every Chanel Beauty product she used to create this look on her Instagram. Her hairstyle – a topknot with bangs made the best use of her natural curls!  To achieve this hair stylist, Tony Medina used Schwarzkopf’s Fibre Clinix Hydrate Booster, OSiS Elastic Spray and Magic Anti Frizz Serum!

Carey Mulligan’s golden moment was achieved by make-up artist Georgie Eisdell’s use of Chanel Beauty. She prepped her skin with the CurrentBody LED Light Therapy Mask. For her deep, red lips she used Chanel Hydrating Conditioning Lip Balm, Chanel Longwear Lip Pencil in Pivoine and Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Ultimate. For her updo hair stylist Jenny Cho created texture using ghd CURVE Creative Curl Wand and  René Furterer Texture Spray Then using  René Furterer Modeling Paste to turn two ponytails into a topknot. Topping that off, manicurist, Queenie Nguyen created “gold micro reverse French.” She used OPI in the shades Samoan Sand, Glitzerland, and This Changes Everything.

Make-up artist Angela Levin’s use of metallic blue and black liner created a smoldering look reminding me of Old Hollywood glamour. It complemented Glenn Close’s coloring as well as matching her tunic. The look was finished with rosy cheeks and a pink nude lip. Her signature pixie and side-swept bangs rounded out the look.

H.E.R.’s long cascading hair took center stage with this look. Hair stylist Nina Monique created the retro-glam cascade. I love how her shades match the color of her lip and behind those signature shades is an enviable cat-eye! Makeup artist Marissa Vossen framed a lush row of lashes with a combination of blue, indigo, and purple winged liner. Speaking of, the iridescent midnight blue nails work perfectly with her outfit and look great holding that Oscar!

I love a smoky eye. Regina King’s ice blue smoky eye complimented her gown beautifully thanks to make-up artist, Latrice Johnson. Her hairstylist, Larry Sims gave her a sleek, blunt bob that is fantastic. It strikes the perfect balance to the art deco inspired neckline and sleeve treatment of her custom Louis Vuitton gown. The choice of a cool tone silver nail polish perfectly complimented the overall ice blue look.

Margot Robbie’s honey colored bangs and casual ponytail, thanks to hair stylist Bryce Scarlett caused quite the stir on the Oscar red carpet. It was the perfect compliment to her delicate Chanel silver gown. Her “bronzey, sunshine glow,” was created by Chanel make-up artist, Pati Dubroff relying heavily on the Palette Essentielle in Caramel. She used Chanel Les Beiges Foundation among other items showcased in a photograph posted to her Instagram. Manicurist, Tom Bachik used  Chanel’s ultra sheer pink shade, Ballerina over the top to create this fabulously diffused French manicure.

Ariana DeBose’s radiant, glowing look came courtesy of e.l.f. Cosmetics via make-up artist Carola Gonzalez. The smoky eye is primarily their liquid glitter eyeshadow in Copper Pop. Gonzalez posted a list of products she used on Instagram. Peter Lux created her sleek, low ponytail with Hidden Crown Hair and T3 Micro styling tools.

Zendaya’s middle-parted hair with it’s loose, beachy waves gave us mermaid vibes. Thank you Larry Sims. When she stepped onto the red carpet if was if he cued up a wind machine. It was Mother Nature and it was perfect! As to not compete with the bold tone of the gown, make-up artist Sheika Day kept thing fairly neutral, exclusively using Lancôme products. Zendaya is an ambassador for the brand. Day posted a list of what she used on her Instagram.

Makeup artist Jo Baker defined Vanessa Kirby’s brows using Tweezerman Rose Gold Slant Tweezer  and prior to mascara, curled her lashes with Tweezerman Rose Gold Classic Curler. What made this work was her deep red lips and shell-pink eye make-up. Hair stylist Adir Abergel used Virtue Labs Healing Oil  prior to styling her hair followed up with the ghd Platinum+ Styler to get that sleek look.

Halle Berry’s “Oscar bob” nearly broke the internet. It was very polarizing. Lots loved it. Lots hated it. And lots of fans felt like they had to defend the look. Berry has a great sense of humor, took it all in stride, was able to poke fun at herself and later revealed it was a very convincing wig. Her make-up artist Jorge Monroy gave her a fresh, glowing look by using several Clinique products – Even Better Clinical Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 25, Cheek Pop blush and Chubby Stick Lip Balm.
